1) Vote on the new LAPTA Membership Theme

Vote on the next LAPTA Membership Theme now. The winner will be announced April 21. We'll offer all three (and even more) as Canva templates that you can customize for your own PTA, too! They'll be available later this month at LouisianaPTA.org/resources. VOTE NOW.



2) LAPTA Partnered with GIVEBACKS

Louisiana PTA is excited to share big news! We’ve partnered with Givebacks, a one-stop PTA management tool, to give you everything you need to do more with less effort. The best part? It’s free to use. Givebacks makes it easier to do everything you need to run your PTA:

  • Managing member details

  • Communicating with supporters

  • Selling in an online store and mobile point-of-sale

  • Fundraising

  • Staying compliant with Affiliation and submitting Membership Dues

 

The official launch date is April 28! This is a better, more comprehensive alternative to CheddarUp, PTBoard, etc. with a built-in MoneyMinder-type accounting feature. Training sessions, workshops, and more will be offered the first week of May. This platform change is not required but encouraged for PTAs to make. 3) New PTA Leader Registration & More

  • All officers are required to annually register with LAPTA at LouisianaPTA.org/register. For those who will be an officer for the 2025-26 year, register again now. Board Members are always encouraged to register.

  • Have you taken the membership survey yet about the National PTA dues increase coming in July? Take that survey now. See details on that change at LouisianaPTA.org/membership.

  • LAPTA will be offering one-on-one Summer Training Webinars for PTAs as needed. This will be a meeting with just your PTA with LAPTA about whatever you need. Get an early jump on the year! Contact Jennifer Hale at Leader.Develop@LouisianaPTA.org to schedule your meeting.

  • Have you scheduled elections yet? Review the steps at LouisianaPTA.org/elections. Plan for a smooth transition.

  • LAPTA Grants and Award winners will be announced on April 15!
